I want a fairly fast PC setup for amateur use of Photoshop with scans out of my Nikon CS4000. There seem to be a lot of specs around, but it's hard to tell which are of most value for photo editing. I generally run with screen res 1280x1024 or 1600x1200, 32 bit colour. Specifically: P4 or Athlon?

PC Specs
Can anyone give me some feedback on the likely specs needed for a PC to run SAS?
